Blogging is a odd endeavor. An effort to make one’s inner thoughts public, as if someone cared! Hoping someone might care, or even take a breath of inspiration from your words committed to cyber-space.

My blog readership has grown steadily since it first launched in late 2012. As of late, I seem to be averaging about 3500 hits a day, which is probably somewhat short of being considered an “influencer,” but gratifying nonetheless.

So imagine the delight when Nick and Lins emailed me yesterday to say, “Oh man! You got a mention in Forbes!” And sure enough, freelance author Michael Alpiner not only found my blog, but was kind enough to include a hot-link back to the source. For an average Joe blogger who simply loves rambling on about his passion – in this case, naturism – that’s a freakin’ big deal!

It’s a concise but informative piece about how naturists are finding ways to gather in virtual spaces, with a general endorsement for social nudity, wonderfully devoid of the oh so typical goofy puns and nudist jokes. Please click through and give it a read! We naturists need to support positive press in the mainstream media.

  1. This is an amazing achievement Dan! This is something we all dream of happening to our own blogs, and it’s even better to get national exposure like that for on a platform like Forbes. It’s an awesome win for you and the naturist community. Keep up the great work!!!

    1. Thanks Alexis! Indeed – the dream has ALWAYS been making even a small dent in the misconceptions about social nudity. Happy to share the credit for this with all naturist bloggers, everywhere. πŸ™‚

  2. It’s so good to see that a long time of conscious, excellent advocacy for nude recreation and travel, sober (but not humorless!) and without silliness or mindless punning, is paying off. A word to the wise: nudists can be taken seriously! Congratulations, Dan.

  3. I think, as it is in my case, you mostly reach folks who are accustomed at some level to naturism. But, Forbes crosses the line into the mainstream.

The more such inroads are made, the more the freedom of being nude will be experienced and appreciated. CONGRATULATIONS, and keep up the good work. You speak for all of us, especially those of us who are waiting out the coronavirus in the buff.
